Brisco County Jr Dvd booklet [08 Jul 2010|11:17am]

tiggeray2000
I just got the Brisco County Jr. Dvd set yesterday from Deep Discount. However there was no booklet in the set. I was looking online and it seems like several other people didn't get it either. Does anyone have scans of the booklet? I'm debating whether I should exchange my dvd set to try and get the booklet... I'm really loving the series so far and I don't want to part with it yet to send it back :-)

Any help or suggestions you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Army of Darkness Comics... [15 Jul 2009|06:49pm]

I recently came across the comics of Freddy vs Jason vs Ash and loved it so much! I wish they would make a movie out of this, I think that the inclusion of the elements from the comics that it would explain alot of plot holes from the more recent Friday the 13th movies, the Necronomicon being in Jason Goes to Hell just sets this up perfectly and the S-mart ending of army of Darkness would fit perfectly as an opening for the film if they decided to make it, all you would need to do is establish that it takes place in Crystal Lake at the beginning of the S-mart ending of AOD.

Anyways, Ive been trying to find copies of all the other Army of Darkness comics and put them all in chronological order, making them into a nice omnibus type edition including all of the comics, Ive been fairly lucky to find torrents for most of them but I am missing some issues towards the end of the series. I was wondering if anybody had some copies they would be willing to share. If I am able to find the ones I am missing would anybody be interested in seeing the saga all put together like that?

I am also looking for a page that can tell me what order they go in and which to read first, I have tons of stuff I would be willing to trade or share if someone could help me out.

A Bruce Campbell mention in a review of "The Spirit [26 Dec 2008|12:27pm]

[ mood | amused ]

Peter David has mentioned Bruce Campbell in his new review over the holiday flop "The Spirit".
Here is the article in case anyone is interested.

http://peterdavid.malibulist.com/archives/006654.html

Here is the quote
"On the other hand, we have Gabriel Macht as the Spirit, a character who desperately needed to have been played by Bruce Campbell. In fact, there's nothing in this film that wouldn't have been 110% better if Campbell had been in the lead, because he can carry off the balancing act that I think Frank was going for."

I haven't even seen the movie yet, but I must agree with Mr. David 110%. ANY movie that has Campbell in it is automatically better.

Now you too can capture the roguish King of Thieves from Bruce's role in Xena Warrior Princess.

to rodshark for bringing this to our attention!

I discovered that Things From Another World is preselling the Bruce action figure at 20% off right now.

Just FYI.  ;)

A Followup Question [23 Dec 2008|07:04pm]

spirk4life
Following up the last post I saw that several people have seen 'My Name is Bruce' but all they did was mention they watched it and Bruce was there for Q&A after. What I'm wanting to know is what they thought of the movie. Was it as enjoyable as it looked? Don't necessarily need spoilers but would love to hear thoughts on the movie.

Thanks

12" Bruce Campbell action figure from the upcoming movie My Name is Bruce

http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=DH14942

WTF!? According to Wikipedia, Amazon, and IMDB, the movie has already been released in theaters in October. NO theater in my area had it and I never seen any mention or commercials for it on tv?!?!?!

Guess they just had a limited release and are hoping to make a profit from the huge dvd sales like with Bubba Ho-Tep. Still this pisses me off.

The website Cracked.com recently had a section in which people could submit photoshop entries with the theme "What if celebrities got what they deserved.". Well, our own Deadite slaying, strong chinned B-movie megastar was featured in one of them. And frankly, I think it is damn fitting.

Bruce attends UK Convention at the start of March :D [07 Feb 2008|01:12pm]

Is anyone going to the Collectormania convention at the start of March? Bruce is going to be there in all his godly glory...Not to mention that other famous eighties movie actor who was responsible for a nightmare or two on Elm Street ;)

I've booked the time off but I still don't know if I can afford to go yet.

'Ello everyone [04 Feb 2008|09:41pm]

androbard1364
Heya everyone, just introducing myself. I have been a Bruce Campbell fan since I saw him on Xena, and I love him in the movies The Evil Dead and Alien Apocolypse. Right now, I am reading his book If Chins Could Kill, and I really recommend it. It is funny, intresting, and just....awesome! I had no idea him, Raimi and Tapert were such good friends before Hercules and Xena days! Can't wait to see the rest of his movies, especially Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, Bubba Hotep, and My Name Is Bruce. :)
